"Misconstrued" #1....Sorta

So, funny story; this isn't actually the first strip of "Misconstrued", the first strip involved Rick and James moving into their dorm an James defining college freedom to Rick. But at the time I uploaded these to my computer I was so, I don't want to say disappointed but dissatified; which I suppose is the same thing with the first one. This one here is my attempt in the strip to do a Halloween/Fall strip within the series. It was a fun little special to write you know. I tried to think of myself as writing a holiday special for an animated show which I always loved. This particular special takes some homage to an episode of "CatDog" on Nickelodeon where Dog turns into a werewolf. You'll see as the special goes on that I included some in-jokes at MVCC that you might find funny but you might not. This was actually I believe the second strip I drew and the first strip in which I scripted. More to come of course, at least nine more I believe so look forward to it!!! Comment below on what you thought or on the Facebook link. Also check out, "The Fools Links" to the right for some more links that my books are available on. Thanks again and more to come of course.

Posting some old Comic strips of mine, ya dig?

So this is the cover image to the set of comic strips I did while back in 2007-2009. It is a comic strip titled, "Misconstrued" and stars two college buddies at the first semester of college at a community college. Their names are (from right to left) Rick and James if I'm not mistaken. It was supposed to be a strip to be published in MVCC's Animation Club magazine I think and as I recall mine was the most professional looking as well. The artwork changes in the middle of the strips run (as in, it gets better) and I try to go for a better looking more stylized version basically. I'v decided to post 'em up here and what not to well, for the most part publish them somewheres and where better than my own blog. You can look forward to new ones everyday probably or at least every two days, whenever I get the chance to post another blog. So here we go, hope you like em, This is just the cover though...so next blog will be the actual first comic strip. Enjoy and let me know what you think.

The difference between myself and John Stamos

Afternoon there fine folks who enjoy the reading of this blog, recently this occurred to me: For years people have been asking me, "Mike where did you get your good looks from?" And you know usually I would look to my father and say, "....Well, not him. He's bald...." But I mean, semi-true story, people have been comparing me to John Stamos ironically enough. I mean despite our many similarities, he was on "Full House" I watched "Full House". He starred on "ER", I've been to the ER....A lot. We do have many differences though, he has dark hair...well I guess I have dark hair too. But I mean, my eyes are greenish brown and his eyes are hazel. Come to think of it for years I've been convinced that John Stamos was my real father....Just saying. Sorry about the bald joke pop, but I mean, you are...

Getting There

Greetings and salutations! It's been a long while hasn't it, it really really has, hasn't it?! Well I'm back to writing for you fiends you see for I have the time now. Didn't have the time to write more blogs, but now I do. Didn't then, do now. Why didn't I have the time to write for you lovely folks you ask? None of your damn business!! Just kidding, just kidding. I got married, went on a honeymoon then moved to North Carolina from upstate New York. Yup and that takes a long while to do. So here is an updated version of my plan for the remainder of 2011. I know I said that I had big plans for this year, but most of them fell through, unfortunately. I said I was going to make a company, publish more book and comics and get an actual career and save the world from hairless apes running around controlling people's minds with their shrink-brain ray banana guns....Okay, maybe not that part. But the other stuff I definitely did say. Whatevs, it happens you know? You make big plans and then they don't all happen or go through as well as you thought. I did say I would get married though, so let's not forget that accomplishment. Wasn't easy either. Do you know how many parties and raves I had to go to to find my wife? One party and no raves. Although one time we went to a sort of rave-concert thing in Pennsylvania. Anyways for the rest of the year, that being September 17th to December 31st. Roughly about three months. The plan is to continue working on my portfolio, really REALLy working on it and creating good quality Illustrations!! As my wife says I have to at least do one drawing a day, but I try to do more ya know? If its one awesome painting or illustration I get a week to work on it. That's what she says anyways. I recently found out the requirements for a career as a Visual Development Artist which is great! It's good to know what I have to be aiming for, it really gives me a purpose and allows me to really work hard at what I have to do. So that is the plan and I'm not gonna make any more plans lest I don't follow them. So that's where I'm at. Till I have more, see ya.
